Dr. David Cooperrider is the "co-creator and pioneering thought leader" of Appreciative Inquiry (AI), a body of work that focuses on developing an organization's positive core to inspire collaborative action for strength-based organizational change. Bringing Strengths Revolution to Your Practice:

But how do we make sense of the array of voices and new tools: from strength-finder and VIA surveys, to whole system’s Appreciative Inquiry Summits, and from the positive psychology movement (focusing on bringing out the best in people) to the use of strength-based organizational designs to build high performing businesses and industry leading stars, as well as more socially and environmentally sustainable societies?

In this interactive one-day session David makes the “three circles of the strengths revolution” come alive by focusing of powerful tools at (1) the individual level (called the elevation of strengths) and (2) at the whole organization level (ways to connect, align, and magnify systemic strengths) and (3) how to design fully strength-based organizations, that is organizations that are designed for the elevation, magnification, and then the refraction of our highest human strengths out into the world, for example in the domain of creating “sustainable value”.

David believes that by bringing all the strength-focusing tools and practices together—from the strength-finder and VIA tools, to the Appreciative Inquiry Summit, and now to the design of the Accelerating Strengths Network (virtual change management), that people’s change-agent skill will move to a whole new exciting and rewarding level.  CEO’s respond to the positive approaches; the high engagement broadens and builds whole system capacity; and organizations come alive with more strategic innovation and passion from top to bottom when the strength-focused approaches are integrated into one unified, integral whole. David calls it change management “3.0.”
